Company Timeline
1970- Ray Lammes and Michael Montecalvo open LaMont Wood Products to supply walnut products to local awards dealers in Western NY.
1972- Closed the wholesale business to go into selling completed awards as Lamont Trophies and Sporting Goods Inc.
1972-1975- Moved to Spencerport, NY in an 800 sq ft location. We sold completed awards and printed apparel for sports teams.
-Bought another 400 sq ft to run our own silk screening company instead of going to outside printers.
-Lammes took over the Sporting Goods part of the business and Montecalvo took over the Trophy and Award production.
1975-1977- To solve various internal issues, Montecalvo bought out Lammes’ part of the business and received a loan from the Small Business Administration.
1980- Sold the silk screening operation.
1982- Sold the sporting goods part of the business.
1983- Lamont, solvent again, moved into an 1800 sq ft location producing only awards.
1990- Moved to the 3600 sq ft location in the back of the Spencerport Plaza, the current location.
1999- Expanded to 6000 sq ft and began making corporate specialty products.
2000- Lamont Trophies and Sporting Goods Inc became Lamont Awards & Apparel with the addition of screen printing equipment and employees.
-Expanded another 2000 sq ft.
