Make sure that your file is smaller than 5MB. Larger files take longer to upload and process, so making your image smaller may help. If you have a larger file and are not sure what to do with

10: Do you take orders over the phone?
No, we do not take orders verbally. If you come into the shop, please have your order printed out or on a DVD or flash drive or be prepared to write it down on an order form. We accept orders via e-mail and fax (Contact Us) and through this website.

Engraving on metal is the traditional way to make a plate for a plaque. We have four traditional engraving machines. If you would like to upload a file for an engraving order, please use an .xls or .txt file.
Lamont Awards & Apparel has three laser engraving machines. Engraving using a laser is a newer style of engraving. As you may have guessed, it uses a laser to cut designs in a variety of materials including wooden plaques, metal plates, and acrylic and crystal awards.
14: What is subligraphic printing?
A special method of transferring an image to a metal plate. Instead of having your artwork in black and white, subligraphics allow for a full-color image and can be mounted to a plaque just like any other plate. We often use subligraphic printing to put a photograph on a plaque. If you are interested in subligraphics, please indicate this when placing your order. Artwork for orders using subligraphics can be submitted as a high-resolution JPG image.
15: What is the difference between a plaque and a plate?
A plate is metal or metallic and can be attached to another surface. This could be anything from a trophy to an outdoor bench. Update plates are smaller and go on plaques for awards given
annually. A plaque is a wooden award, usually with a plate, that is displayed by hanging it on a wall.
16: Can you engrave something with an odd surface?
Usually, yes we can, depending on the material, shape and size of the object. This would be a custom order, and we would prefer that you bring the piece in to the shop for a consultation.
