How To Submit Art
How is final art created?
All final art for production is created digitally in the art department at Lamont Awards & Apparel. We use Windows-based software, not Apple. All Apple artwork must be converted for use in Windows. We can also produce complete artwork for you at an additional charge.
What is camera-ready art?
Submitted art must be considered camera-ready. To be camera-ready, art must be received as black ink on white paper. Any art using color ink or paper will need additional work and will not be considered camera-ready. The edges of type and graphics must be crisp. Any art with ragged edges, unclear or fuzzy graphics will not be considered camera-ready and an art charge may be added.
How are digital files received?
Artwork may be provided on a CD-ROM or flash drive, e-mailed, or uploaded to the website when placing your order. All files must be less than 5MB. Files must be vector format (i.e. AI, EPS, PDF, CDR) with all fonts converted to outlines, curves or paths. Raster files (i.e. JPG, GIF, BMP, TIF) will be reviewed by the art department and may require an art charge.
How do I e-mail art?
If you submit your artwork via e-mail, attach your digital art file to an e-mail. Then explain clearly what type of file it is and include your company name, phone number and PO number. E-mail is checked daily and any information you send via e-mail will be confirmed by our art department.
What is a proof?
A proof is a copy of the artwork and/or setup before it goes to final production. If you would like a proof of your artwork to approve before it is made, please request this when placing your order. Proofs are sent via e-mail to confirm both the graphics and text of your order. Before you approve a proof, carefully check that all artwork and information are correct. After a proof is approved by the customer, Lamont Awards & Apparel is no longer liable for any errors in the artwork or text.
